Salazar Skye-fire wrote:how would framerate cause it to spaz out of control? were not talking about a tank chugging along or warping the thing is flailing around like those wind machine ppl car dealers put out for advertisements. it was funny to watch when me and my buddies were trying to kill it.
Its happened to me, and it doesnt look like tha ton the tank players screen. But everyone else sees a spectacle, it looks on the tank drivers screen just like it would if your frame rate got choppy, long pauses before a single frame of action.
What you are seeing is how the game describes someones actions, when their frame rate drops. It is pretty cool. |

CCP OverRainbow wrote:Hi,
I'm CCP OverRainbow, member of Dust Development Team. Thank you for the report. We are investigating this problem. Can you please tell me the following infomations? 1. How far were you from the tank when you observed the "Dance"? 2. Did the tank drive on the flat ground or the rough ground? It will be very helpful to us if you can provide the information to us.
Thank you
I have taken video on my camera phone of the spin taking place, from the drivers perspective, i can provide you that footage if you would permit the NDA to be broken in this instance. |

Hi, Due to the NDA we ask that you do not put up in-game footages of DUST 514 closed beta on publically accessible sites. However, if you can register for a free account on Dropbox or SkyDrive and share the link to the video only on the DUST 514 closed beta forums, we will be able to access the video without overtly violating the NDA. Please be aware that this does not mean that you can share such videos with the general public, but rather use it only for bug hunting purposes during the closed beta. Any abuse of this method will result in punitive actions such as permanently banned from DUST 514 closed beta. Thank you.
An older video, 11/14 i believe.

You will find the video I indicated there. Now you will not be able to see the tank break dancing from this point of view, you can see clear indications that is occurring on the other players screens, and i confirmed with my corp mates that my tank was indeed spinning when this was taken.
My frame rate was lagging so badly by this point in the match, that while I was taking this video in real time my tank had already been destroyed. |
